That last snack of the day can be a touch habit to break. I found what helped that if I truly was hungry and had have something - I would have an Extend protein bar. I use these for breakfast and lunch too (along with a piece of fruit). They are made to stabilize blood sugar - so they don't cause that hunger problem in the morning. They are best bars I've found and easy to order from on line.

Hi Julie!!!

Sounds like my kind of salad!

I think you should try the mediterranean diet! You don't have to like fish - lean meats are fine as well! I just wrote about it on my blog this week! I love the mediterranean diet, it is wonderful and is not even a diet at all!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Start out easy -- something you enjoy doing. I like tai chi it's relaxing but is still a nice workout for the body without stressing it. I got a dvd for beginning tai chi at a bookstore. Once you convince your subconscious you aren't going to overdo and sweat to much in the morning -- maybe it will be easier to get up, then once you are in the habit you can add a little here and there to your morning routine.
That's a pretty good bike ride. It's gonna take a lot more to ruin that day of exercise than what you have listed. Keep it up!

Hello.

I love the Hillbilly Housewife web site as well, particularly that section where she gives all the recipes for things you can do with the powdered milk. The homemade evaporated milk recipe comes in very handy around the holidays and baking time (think pumpkin pie).

Annoying, and yet how positive. All of my reading lately has been on how our thoughts control pur feelings. The Tigger Song is juvenile, but very positive in every other regard, so I wonder if it had something to do with the perfect-ness of your lovely walk?

Regarding the salads: I've learned to enjoy a "poor person's salad: Shredded Romaine Lettuce spritzed with Olive Oil and any type of vinegar you like, (apple cider, white, garlic-flavored, balsamic.) and fresh ground pepper. I don't know the exact cost, but I don't think one or two of these along with a hard=boiled egg can come to alot of money. Fancier salads can be had as major meals on Friday or Sat. eves. when there is generally more time to fix and enjoy. Less waste.
